One of
the greatest attributes of all Successful People is the
ability to bounce back after a defeat…
Think of
the quote by Michael Jordan when he talks about the HUGE
number of misses he made over the years… but is remembered
for those great ones he made…
Babe Ruth and Barry Bonds…
Do you really remember them for the number of
strikeouts they had? No…
It is the Home Runs they made…
Abraham
Lincoln… the
failures fill a page… but oh the successes.
Jim Rohn
has a great story that he talks about in his presentation…
where a girl scout knocks on the door to try and sell a box
of two dollar cookies…
and he lies and tells her that he has a cabinet full
from the prior girls who came by.
The reality is that he did not have the money to give
two dollars!
He tells
of sitting down against the wall and crying because he had
to lie to a girl scout… and swore to never do that again.
He resolved to never have to lie again about his
finances and swore to make more money than he ever dreamed
of… and 6 years later he was a millionaire.
At the
event I was just at Mr. Rohn talked about this century and
broke it down into a few great sentences…

from the standpoint that we have at our disposal all of the
resources we need right now that can make us set for life…
if we use them. More
resources in the history of the world if we learn them…
study them and Implement them.
Keen
Competition…
We are
not just getting competition from the other 2000 investors
here in
Houston
but from all over the country…
the question is how do we get better?
How many people from outside of
Texas
have you seen buying up everything in the
Houston
market? A lot!
How about other markets that have people coming in
from outside the territory?
How do we get GREATER than our competition… and
make us the number one phone call people make when they need
help?
I know I
have been looking for the right answers… have you?
One area I have developed a great talent for is
marketing… Sellers…
Buyers… referrals…
on and on…it is a matter of working to get people
to call.
I will
be discussing a few of those concepts in future letters…
and I will be giving a presentation that will cost
you absolutely nothing to attend…
nothing. But
I guarantee that it will put a lot of bottom line profits if
you put them into action…
Many of
you know I am working through some tough times with my
mother right who has cancer.
It will be a battle we face for a long time but I
have a great support staff with my wife… daughters… son
and the family I have grown to care about that receive
theses letters…
How
great is it to have a support team when you get down and are
not sure what the next step is?
When you fail that you can vent to and have them
listen? But more
importantly… give you the direction you need to succeed?
To prevailed? To
overcome the obstacles?
Might be
time to look at my tagline again and really comprehend what
it means:
...There is no chance no
destiny no fate
that can circumvent or hinder
or control
the firm resolve of a
determined soul...

remember that failure just means that you can start over and
